Abstract:ABSTRACT:The shifts in membrane potential, caused by the injection of hormones into a permeation cell, were measured using immobilized (entrapped) serum albumin and g-globulin membranes. The effective fixed charge density was estimated to increase after the injection of estradiol and testosterone in both albumin and g-globulin membranes, while the charge density was estimated to decrease after the injection of progesterone in the g-globulin membranes. Because the change in the charge density originates from th… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
