Abstract: To investigate the neuroprotection of recombinant human erythropoietin (rhEPO) against hypoxic/ischemic (HI) insult in three-day-old rats. Postnatal day 3 (PD3) rats were randomly divided into three groups: Sham group, HI group and HI+rhEPO group. Ligation of the right common carotid artery and hypoxia to induce HI brain injury.
