“…Učestalost lokalnih ili sistemskih nuspojava povezanih sa rutinskim vakcinacijama kod prevremeno rođene dece je ekvivalentna onoj kod donešene novorođenčadi, a razlika nije statistički značajna (P<0,05). (13) Meta-analiza Badurdeena i saradnika o BCG vakcinaciji kod prevremeno rođene dece i novorođenčadi s malom porođajnom težinom pokazala je da rana vakcinacija u odnosu na kasnu vakcinaciju ima sličnu sigurnost, imunogenost i rezultate kožnih testova na tuberkulin. (14) Stručna istraživanja su pokazala da je sigurnost vakcinacije, kao i pojava neželjenih reakcija kod prevremeno rođene dece ista kao i kod donešene dece, te kad se uzme u obzir rizik od infekcija kod prevremeno rođenih, taj rizik je manji ako se prevremeno rođeno dete vakciniše protiv zaraznih bolesti na vreme.…”
