Abstract: The Late Miocene source terrane tectonic history in the southern Gulf of Mexico Basin, as informed by detrital zircon geothermochronology data, supports a detailed regional palaeogeographic reconstruction from palaeoshoreline to the deepwater Zama minibasin of the Sureste salt basin.
