Reconstruction of vector physical fields by optical tomography

Abstract: The criteria of portability and long life, when applied to limit the field of small batteries, result in the elimination of all but solar, chemical and nuclear prime energy sources. This review outlines the theory, present state of the art and future prospects for batteries delivering up to a few kilowatts from these prime sources. In considering nuclear converters, which include thermoelectric, thermionic, betavoltaic and the Stirling, Rankine and Brayton cycles, consideration is given not only to the possible… Show more

“…Then within the Iiniits of each step the value A (x,y) can be considered constant. In this case full change of contour length in result of object deformation can be presented AL = }dr = (4) where the curve r defmes a position of a step contour ( fig.lb) and simultaneously is a new integrating contour in (4), close to rectilinear. As is evident, the expression (4) coincides with Rahdon transform from function div A (x,y) .This function will be reconstructed by using of tomography methods realizing back Rahdon transform.…”

“…One of the most promising types of interferometers for creating interference fiber transducers is a single-fiber intermode interferometer [1] which operates on the principle of interference of the modes of the same fiber. Reports about a usage of the SFMI in the regime of the two modes excitation to measure the deformation of the technological elements verify the SFMI's ability to combine the simplicity of its optical scheme, a high sensitivity to deformation influences and a high temperature stability [2].…”
