Recording and analysis of slow waves of the small intestine of mice with heart failure

Abstract: Background: Gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms in heart failure (HF) patients are associated with increased morbidity and mortality. We hypothesized that HF reduces bioelectrical activity underlying peristalsis.
