Recovery and recycle of valuable constituents in spent pickling acids

Abstract: An acid recovery system has been successfully operated for over two years at Washington Steel Corporation, Washington, Pennsylvania. During this time the system has effectively recycled the valuable components in spent pickling acids, thereby significantly reducing the costs and liabilities associated with the disposal of these hazardous wastes.
