Abstract:WO 3 /MoO 3 composites were created via hydrothermal synthesis using W−Mo alloy scrap and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG). Optimal conditions for photochromism were determined. The composite W1Mo9 displayed superior photochromic properties at a 1:9 W/Mo molar ratio, a 2 h synthesis time, and a 90 °C temperature. Under simulated sunlight, the green hue of WO 3 /MoO 3 shifted to blue. These WO 3 /MoO 3 composites exhibit excellent reversibility and recyclability. Irradiation of WO 3 and MoO 3 yielded electron−hole p… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
