Abstract:Based on thermodynamic analysis, the recovery of W, Mo, Cr and V as secondary alloy from high speed steel by silicothermic process were performed. The variables effected the reduction process considered in the study were lime ratio, content of reducing agent and heating effect per unit. The experimental results showed that the recovery of W, Mo, Cr and V as secondary alloy from high speed steel grindings was feasible by silicothermic process. The recoveries of W, Mo, Cr and V were 95%, 95%, 72% and 45% respect… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
