Rectangular Ring Open-Ended Monopole Antenna with Inverted L-Strip for WLAN Dual-Band Operations

Abstract: A novel design for a simple rectangular ring with open-ended monopole antenna wireless local area network (WLAN) applications is proposed in this article. The proposed antenna consists of an open-ended rectangular ring, an inverted L-strip, and a rectangular slit in the ground plane, and is fed by a 50 Ω microstrip feed-line.
