Abstract:Mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) is most usually found in the salivary glands, but it has also been reported in the lung, esophagus, breast, pancreas, and thyroid. MECs are considered to be low-grade carcinomas, and their occurrence in the thyroid is extremely rare.
