Abstract: Rationale: Group B Streptococcus (GBS) remains a principal pathogen causing neonatal sepsis and meningitis, particularly in premature infants with relatively insufficient immunity. Recurrence may occur uncommonly, largely associated with subclinical mucosal persistence or repetitive exposure to exogenous sources.
