Abstract:Verrucous carcinoma is an uncommon, locally invasive and slow growing squamous cell carcinoma of the skin and mucous membrane. The proposed causative agent for verrucous carcinoma is human papillomavirus (HPV). It has low metastatic potential compared to squamous cell carcinoma.
