Abstract:Fuzzy fibers are fibers enhanced in terms of multiphysics properties with radially oriented carbon nanotubes grown on their surface through the chemical deposition process. For the first time, this paper attempts to present two generalized zeroth-order asymptotic homogenization schemes aimed at identifying the homogenized and local response of fuzzy fiber-reinforced composites, accounting for both multiphysics piezoelectric effect and cylindrically orthotropic material behavior. The unit cell problems are solv… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
