Red Blood Cells Play a Role in Reverse Cholesterol Transport

Abstract: Objective Reverse cholesterol transport (RCT) involves the removal of cholesterol from peripheral tissue for excretion in the feces. Here, we determined whether red blood cells (RBCs) can contribute to RCT.
