Reduced Glutamatergic Neurotransmission as Possible Indicator of Unfavorable Prognosis

Abstract: The paper summarizes the results of experimental and clinical studies showing a reduced function of the glutamatergic neurotransmitter system (GNS) in the development of critical states of the organism. Reduced function of GNS is considered as an unfavorable prognostic factor associated with key mechanisms of thanatogenesis. (Int J Biomed. 2017;7(1):15-23.)
