Reduced-Order Modeling and the Physics Governing Flapping Wing Fluid-Structure Interaction

Abstract: Flapping, flexible insect wings deform during flight from aerodynamic and inertial forces. This deformation is believed to enhance aerodynamic and energetic performance.
