According to the current zero-discharge requirements for wastewater in the power industry, based on the widely used membrane concentration technology, a pilot process for pretreatment of desulfurization wastewater is established at the Huaneng Yunhe Power Plant. The desulfurization wastewater from the triple-tank outlet is dealt with the ceramic membrane filtration or quartz sand filtration, activated carbon filtration, and tubular ultrafiltration respectively, the results prove that the ceramic membrane process can substitute the traditional quartz sand filtration, activated carbon filtration, and tubular ultrafiltration process, which not only can significantly reduce the construction scale and floor area, but also reduce the treatment costs per ton of water. At the same time, aiming to reuse desulfurization wastewater, a higher water recovery rate is obtained by the ceramic membrane process, and the anti-pollution performance of the ceramic membrane is better. Therefore, pretreating desulfurization wastewater through a ceramic membrane is a more reasonable pretreatment process.
