“…Our findings indicate a crucial role for white matter deficits in AVH. Consistent with several previous studies (Hubl et al ., 2004; Xi et al ., 2016; Zhang et al ., 2018), white matter deficits affected the corpus collosum and internal capsule, confirming involvement of widely distributed commissural, frontal, reciprocal thalamo-cortical and auditory-linked circuitry in the generation of AVH.
