Reducing a Finger Dislocation

Abstract

A football player's little finger became dislocated at the metacarpophalangeal joint and could not be reduced using closed techniques. While preparations for open reduction were being made, the patient, a veteran of many dislocated and jammed fingers, offered his own solution.
