Reducing exclusionary discipline from the classroom : a qualitative descriptive case studyLottie M. Watson

Abstract: This case study was conducted at a traditional 9-12 comprehensive high school 10 miles outside of New York City in Bergen County, New Jersey.The focus of this study was to examine how teacher practices and behaviors can reduce exclusionary discipline from the classroom, and explore how teachers can genuinely and authentically connect and foster positive relationships with their students to create a positive school climate and culture.
