Reducing scrapping of gears by assessment of tip contact threshold torque

Abstract: While striving for more competitive products as well as reaching the Global Sustainable Development Goals, automotive powertrain manufacturers increase the demands on gears, which translates to decreased manufacturing error tolerances.
