Abstract:Singlet-polaron and triplet-polaron annihilation mechanisms are the most detrimental exciton quenching processes that lower the efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) at high current densities, causing so-called efficiency roll-off in these devices. These exciton loss mechanisms are also the critical obstacles towards the realization of electrically pumped organic semiconductor lasers, which require very high current densities to reach threshold. Herein, under a relatively large external magnetic … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
