Reference data for the principal physiological indicators in three species of laboratory animals

Abstract

SummaryThis paper contains the reference data for the main physiological indicators of three species of laboratory animals: mice, rabbits and dogs. Data listed include the mean and the standard deviation of haematology, serum biochemistry and organ weight to body weight ratio. In addition, pathological studies including microscopical examination of organs and tissues were also done. Comparisons between sexes were analysed.

Hematological parameters in Polish mixed breed rabbits with addition of meat breed blood in the annual cycle

To conclude on the impact of the sex of Polish mixed-breed rabbits with addition of blood of meat breeds on haematological parameters of blood, it is hard to make absolute statements on the impact of this factor on the parameters analysed, as similarly to the case of the first group of rabbits (Polish mixed-breed rabbits) the results are very differentiated.…”
