Reflections on Sustainability’s Meaning in Organizations

Abstract: Adopting an institutionalist perspective on the construction of the meaning(s) of sustainability for organizations, we argue that this polysemic concept is linguistically employed in diverse fields with the intent to provide legitimacy.
