Refractive index dispersion of chalcopyrite crystals

Abstract: The one-gap electronic dispersion model of Wemple and DiDomenico (1969) has been extended, using physically meaningful parameters, to take into account additional dispersion of refractive indices near the lowest energy gap, and applied to the case of chalcopyrite crystals. Dispersion parameters of some chalcopyrite crystals are presented. The location and polarisation of the average energy gap of these crystals is compared with other known energy gaps.
