Luis Obispo. Dr. Waldorf teaches mainly in the manufacturing processes area, including courses in manufacturing process design, tool engineering, computer-aided manufacturing, and quality engineering. His research interests are with machining process modeling and monitoring, especially related to cutting tool wear, vibrations, and advanced tool design. Prior to coming to Cal Poly Dr. Waldorf worked in Chicago as a quality/manufacturing engineer at ATF, Inc., a producer of fasteners and specialty cold-formed products for the automotive industry.
