Background/Objective: Although there has been a decline in the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia in the past decade, the figure is still the highest among countries in Southeast Asia. This figure varies in 34 provinces. The purpose of the study was to analyze the regional disparity of stunted toddlers in Indonesia. Materials and Methods: The analysis in this study uses data from the 2017 Indonesian Nutritional Status Monitoring (PSG 2017). Multi-stage cluster random sampling was used in the PSG 2017. The sample used in this study was 149,571 toddlers aged 0-59 months. Data were analyzed using the Binary Logistic Regression test. Results: Toddlers in the Sumatra region have the possibility of 0.921 times stunted compared to toddlers in the Papua region (OR 0.921; 95% CI 0.880-0.963). The Java-Bali region was 0.805 times more likely than toddlers in the Papua region to be stunted (OR 0.805; 95% CI 0.763-0.843). The Nusa Tenggara Region was 1.394 times more likely than toddlers in the Papua region to be stunted (OR 1.394; 95% CI 1.315-1.478). Kalimantan Region has 1.161 times more likely than toddlers in the Papua region to be stunted (OR 1.161; 95% CI 1.103-1.223). The Sulawesi region has 1.184 times the possibility of toddlers in the Papua region being stunted (OR 1.184; 95% CI 1.128-1.243). Maluku region has a probability of 0.884 times that of toddlers in the Papua region to be stunted (OR 0.884; 95% CI 0.824-0.949). Conclusion: There was a regional disparity of stunted toddler in Indonesia.

Background: The husband's involvement in ANC is a form of the husband's responsibility for his wife's health. This study aims to analyze the effect of the husband's education level on the husband's involvement in ANC visits among the poor in Indonesia.Methods: The study employed the 2017 Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey data. The unit of analysis was poor coupled with wives aged 15-49 years old and had been pregnant for the past five years. Samples of 6,414 couple were obtained. Besides the husband's education, other independent variables analyzed in this study were of the place of residence, age, occupation, and wife’s parity. A binary logistic regression test was occupied in the final stage.Results: The results showed that husbands who had primary education were 1.470 times more likely than no education husbands for husband's involvement in ANC visit. Husbands who have secondary education were likely 2.129 times compared to no education husband for husband's involvement. Meanwhile, a husband who has a higher education was probably 3.618 times compared to no education husband for husband's involvement. In addition to the education level, 3 other variables proved to be significantly influential on the husband's involvement in ANC visits among the people in Indonesia, namely place of residence, occupation, and wife’s parity.Conclusion: The husband's education level was a determinant of the husband's involvement in ANC visits among the poor in Indonesia. The better the education level, the more likely it is that husband's involvement in the ANC visit.

Background: Unintended pregnancy can cause pregnancy termination, which leads to safety risks. The purpose of the study was to analyze the factors that influence unintended pregnancies in Indonesia.Methods: The analysis unit was women aged 15-49 years old who gave birth to the last 5 years. The sample size was 36,472 women. In addition to unintended pregnancy as the dependent variable, other variables analyzed were the place of residence, age, education, husband/partner, employment, wealth, parity, pregnancy termination, the person deciding woman's access to health care, heard about family planning messages on radio, television, and newspaper/magazines. The final stage analysis uses binary logistic regression.Results: Women in urban areas were 1.834 times more likely than women in rural areas to experience an unintended pregnancy. The 20-24 age group was 0.202 times more than the 15-19, while the 45-49 was 1.916 times compared to the 15-19 to experience an unintended pregnancy. Secondary education women were 1.447 times more likely than no education women, while the poorer women were 1.190 times more likely than the poorest women to experience an unintended pregnancy. Parity was found to be a strong determinant of unintended pregnancy. History of pregnancy, decision making by husbandpartner, and heard about family planning messages on radio and television in the last few months are risk factors for unintended pregnancy.Conclusions: Eight variables affect unintended pregnancy, namely age, education, wealth, parity, pregnancy termination, the person deciding woman's access to health care, and heard about family planning messages on radio and television.
