Therefore, several studies have explored the impact of soil and management on subsurface nutrient leaching, including manure management (Kokulan et al., 2022; Nikiéma et al., 2013), fertilization (Karimi & Akinremi, 2018; Kokulan, Manimel Wadu, et al., 2021), animal grazing (Singh et al., 2019), cropping systems (Kokulan et al., 2022), and subsurface drainage (Kokulan, Macrae, Lobb, et al., 2019; Satchithanantham et al., 2014) in the Canadian Prairies.
