Regioselective Cobalt‐Catalyzed Protoboration of Alkynes

Abstract: A regioselective cobalt‐catalyzed protoboration of alkynes has been developed, utilizing diboron as the borylation source for the efficient synthesis of alkenylborates. The reaction proceeds via cobalt‐boryl intermediates, diverging from conventional Co‐H chemistry. By fine‐tuning the phosphine ligand side chains, we achieved excellent reactivity and regioselectivity across a wide range of internal and terminal alkynes.
