Herein, we report a manganese-catalyzed Z-selective
hydroarylation of allenyl ethylene carbonates (AECs) under mild conditions.
The methodology employs an earth-abundant Mn(I)-catalyst, which shows
high functional group tolerance, performed at room temperature, resulting
in good-to-excellent yields of the products with very high Z-selectivity. Besides, mechanistic insights reveal the
substitution effects of the allenes over the control of Z-selectivity.
