In view of these side effects of treatment, the slight symptoms, the high spontaneous remission rate (up to 35 % after 4 months, up to 50% after 12 months, up to 90 % after 24 months) [58,59] and the high recurrence rate after treatment, the option of watchful waiting is to be considered in each individual case [24,60,61]. In the case of extensive local findings, and depending on the symptoms, treatment may be indicated, taking into account the psychological strain, which is generally not felt by the young patients, but is experienced all the more so by their parents.…”
