This research aims to provide an overview of the growing number of scientific literature publications related to Physical Activity and Healthy Habits. A bibliometric analysis between 1990 and 2022 in the Web of Science was carried out, following the bibliometric analysis law, using Microsoft Excel and VosViewer Software for analysis and data processing. A total of 276 documents (262 primary studies and 14 revisions) related to the topic under study were located. The results reveal an exponential growth of scientific production by 48% between 2006 and 2022. Public Environmental Occupational Health, Kaprio, J., and the USA were the knowledge field, author, and country most productive, respectively. A great thematic diversity was found related to the most used keywords by the authors, such as “physical activity”, “health habits”, “exercise”, and “obesity”. Thus, the research related to this theme is really in an exponential phase, with great interest in the importance of physical activity and healthy habits, implying practical decisions in policies to develop programs to promote physical activity and healthy habits.

The approach of using more than one processor to compute in order to overcome the complexity of different medical imaging methods that make up an overall job is known as GPU (graphic processing unit)-based parallel processing. It is extremely important for several medical imaging techniques such as image classification, object detection, image segmentation, registration, and content-based image retrieval, since the GPU-based parallel processing approach allows for time-efficient computation by a software, allowing multiple computations to be completed at once. On the other hand, a non-invasive imaging technology that may depict the shape of an anatomy and the biological advancements of the human body is known as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Implementing GPU-based parallel processing approaches in brain MRI analysis with medical imaging techniques might be helpful in achieving immediate and timely image capture. Therefore, this extended review (the extension of the IWBBIO2023 conference paper) offers a thorough overview of the literature with an emphasis on the expanding use of GPU-based parallel processing methods for the medical analysis of brain MRIs with the imaging techniques mentioned above, given the need for quicker computation to acquire early and real-time feedback in medicine. Between 2019 and 2023, we examined the articles in the literature matrix that include the tasks, techniques, MRI sequences, and processing results. As a result, the methods discussed in this review demonstrate the advancements achieved until now in minimizing computing runtime as well as the obstacles and problems still to be solved in the future.

Artistic gymnastics, as a fundamental sport forming the basis for acrobatic activities in sports, art, and recreation, is the subject of this research. The aim is to scrutinize scientific studies on artistic gymnastics, both in a general context and in terms of male and female modalities. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, following established bibliometric principles. Analysis, processing, and graph generation were carried out using Microsoft Excel and Bibliometrix software. A total of 482 documents published between 1975 and 2023 were identified, revealing exponential growth in publications. The core set of prolific journals comprised six publications. Among 1241 authors, 33 were identified as prolific (with 5 or more publications), with 12 standing out as prominent. Brazil was the most productive, and the USA was the most cited. Keywords were grouped into four main categories: "technique analysis," "physiological aspects," "gymnastics as a fundamental sport," and "exercise evaluation and scoring." In conclusion, the research community exhibits a growing interest in artistic gymnastics. Sunčica Delaš Kalinski (Croatia) was the most prolific author, and Albrecht L. Claessens (Belgium) stood out prominently. The "Science of Gymnastics Journal" proved to be the most influential publication. Four primary research lines were identified based on keyword groupings.
