Abstract: IntroductionChildren and young adults with congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) are at increased risk of obesity and insulin resistance. There is evidence that children with CAH have increased visceral adiposity, which has been linked to metabolic syndrome and cardiovascular disease (CVD).
