Abstract:The most common anemia is related to problems with nutritional status. Obesity increases the risk of anemia because of the accumulation of fat in adipose tissue that triggers inflammation which can lead to anemia. Hepcidin is a small peptide hormone that negatively regulates intestinal iron absorption. The absorption of iron in the body is disturbed, it will affect the hemoglobin level in the body, leading to anemia.
