[22][23] In this study we also evaluated the triglyceride/ HDL-c ratio (TG/HDL-c), a measure of the particle size of LDL-c for ratios greater than 1 (> 1), indicating very small and high density particles, which are closely related to the development of atherosclerotic process, being this measure a good indicator of atherogenesis and therefore, an indicator of myocardial infarction. [24] Data obtained from this ratio compared to other studies show that the LDL-C particle size of the untreated and hyperlipid diet group is less than 25 nm, a favorable condition for the deposition of this lipoprotein in the vascular lumen, causing vascular diseases.…”
