Relationship between Maslow’s hierarchy of needs and mumpreneurial intentions

Abstract: Nascent mumpreneur is a mother with one or more children coming up with a new venture to support herself and her family. The debate about the motivation for mumpreneurs to start their new business is going on and underresearched. Therefore, this study aims to define the major motivational factors that influence mumpreneurial intentions in Jordan, specifically amongst nascent mumpreneurs. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs was employed to discover these factors. This quantitative cross-sectional study uses convenience… Show more

“…It was also ensured that there were no high relationships among the dimensions of independent variables (Multi-collinearity). Utilizing the VIF, and the Tolerance to test each aspect of the research, which indicates the VIF is not more than the value (10), the allowable variance value of Tolerance is higher than (0.10) (Abdelsalam et al, 2022;Hair Jr. et al, 2017). The analysis outcome suggested the value of VIF for all dimensions of the independent variables was less than (10), it ranges between (2.15-4.83) and the allowable variance value Tolerance for all dimensions was greater than (0.10) and ranged between (0.221-0.460).…”

“…When applying these standards, no questions were ignored, and for all twentyeight items of the eight constructs, the factor loads were above the threshold (0.60) [102,103]. Moreover, the Kaiser-Meyer-Olkine (KMO) value indicates harmony and coherence, and the inter-relationship of the data was KMO = 0.949, df = 378, p < 0.05 = 0.000, which is higher than the threshold of 70% [104][105][106]. Furthermore, the Bartlett test for sphericity was χ 2 = 6814.632, df = 253, p < 0.05 = 0.000.…”
