Relationship between small for gestational age and aortic intima-media thickness in newborns

Abstract: Background Small for gestational age (SGA) has been associated with adult cardiovascular disease. Small for gestational age newborns may undergo early aortic wall intima-media thickening (aIMT) in utero.
