“…Didesnį vyrų "susirūpinimą" seksualiniu tobulumu patvirtino ir ankstesnių tyrimų rezultatai (Stackert, Bursik, 2003), tačiau nesantys skirtumai tarp sutuoktinių pagal kitus du klaidingus įsitikinimus prieš-tarauja ankstesniesiems tyrimams (Thomas, Flecher, 2003;Stackert, Bursik, 2003). Tokius nelauktus rezultatus galėjo lemti užsienio ir šiame tyrimuose dalyvavusių respondentų kultūriniai skirtumai reikšmingi vertinant klaidingų sutuoktinių įsitikinimų išreikštumą poroje bei pasitenkinimą santuoka (Goodwin, Gaines, 2004). Nors ir nustatyta, kad moterys tendencingai tikisi išvengti kon iktų santykiuose manydamos, jog tai griauna santykius (Beinstein Miller, 1994), vis dėlto manoma, kad klaidingi įsitikinimai santykių atžvilgiu kinta, nes vis daugiau porų ima spręsti kon iktus gana efektyviai gerindamos tarpusavio supratimą, o kartu ir didindamos sutarimą vienas su kitu (Sarvestani, 2011).…”
