Relationships Between Macrostructure and Microstructure in Lamellar Graphite Iron Castings

Abstract: Spherical sheet steel molds filled with gray iron melts of varying chemical compositions and metallurgical conditions were air-cooled until solid, followed directly by austempering to preserve the austenite grain structure.
