Relative superiority of the Lund–Malmö revised equation for glomerular filtration rate estimation in patients with end-stage renal disease not on dialysis among 23 equations
Abstract:The glomerular filtration rate (GFR) is an important index of the proper function of the kidneys, and measuring it precisely is indispensable for efficiently managing patients in the clinic. There exist several methods of how to estimate the GFR. However, studies evaluating the estimated GFR in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) not on dialysis remain scarce. Our work sought to characterize a relative accurate equation for estimating kidney function in patients with ESRD who were not on dialysis. In … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
