Abstract:This paper investigates the use of relaxed recentered logarithmic barrier functions in the context of nonlinear model predictive control. These functions are a variation of the regular log-barrier functions that are introduced in the objective function of an optimization problem as a penalty for the deviation from the constraint set. The resulting MPC scheme has been studied in the case of linear dynamics, and several interesting results on the global nominal asymptotic stability of the corresponding closed-lo… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
