Relay Deployment for AF-MIMO Two-Way Relaying Networks with Antenna Selection

Abstract: In this paper the outage-optimal relay deployment problem for amplify-and-forward (AF) multi-input multi-output (MIMO) two-way relaying network with antenna selection is studied. By utilizing an approximation of the outage probability, the outage-optimal relay location is shown feasible. On this basis a relay deployment scheme is developed by providing the near-optimal relay position in an approximate closed form. Theoretical analysis shows that the optimal relay position is affected by the number of antennas … Show more

“…Literature [6] 6 analyzed the effect of UAV attitude swing angle on relay communication in a windy flight environment. Literature [7] 7 investigates the problem of interrupt-optimal relay deployment for AF -MIMO two-way relay networks with antenna selection, and demonstrates the feasibility of interrupting the optimal relay location by using an approximation of the interruption probability. Literature [8] 8 proposed a topology construction algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to ensure communication between the Ground Control Station (GCS) and each mission UAV performing a given task.…”

“…After finding a new nectar source, the RDFS algorithm is used to check whether the location of the new relay node meets the connectivity requirements; if it does, the size of the fitness value of the new nectar source can be calculated by (8); if it doesn't, the neighbouring nectar sources are re-found according to (7).…”
