Reliability Analysis to Industrial Active Standby Redundant System

Abstract: The present paper is contributed for the analysis of system possessing cold standby i.e. active standby redundancy mode. Initially, both similar units are observed to be in operative situation. The inspection procedure for failed units has been introduced who inspect the exact failure and communicate the repairman to repair the exact failed part of unit by replacing with new one with same performance capacity. As the system is following discrete mechanism so the results related to system reliability like MTSF,… Show more

“…Today, the study of reliability is an important part of many fields, including engineering 3) manufacturing, and quality control. By quantifying the parameters for assessing reliability 4) , engineers and researchers can design more reliable systems and components, and better understand the causes of system failures 5) when they occur.…”

“…The concept of industrial modeling was proposed by Saini [12,13] and Barak [14], neural network prediction model by Bhardwaj S. et al [15] and use of bivariate wiener processes through Dong Q. L. et al [16] had added new definition to reliability analysis of industrial and non-industrial models in the past year. In addition to above, the balanced mechanisms for examining balanced systems and common cause failures had also been studied by [17][18][19][20], Garg R. et al [21] and Bhatti et al [22][23][24][25] also added their contribution to reliability study of an industrial system using redundancy policy.…”
