Reliability function of electronic equipments suffering a single environmental stress based on Poisson Process

Abstract: Environmental stresses are usually crucial factors leading to the fault of Electronic Equipments. In the past, Stress-Strength Interference Model (SSI) was applied extensively to analyze the reliability of Electronic Equipments suffering environmental stresses, correspondingly, the reliability was acquired as a fixed value. However, the reliability decreases as time goes on. For that reason, this paper establishes the function of the reliability of Electronic Equipments and time based on Poisson Process, impro… Show more

“…According to (11) and (12) in probability theory and interval estimation method [26], the prediction interval of time interval between two-component failures [t L,1โˆ’๐›ผ , t U ,1โˆ’๐›ผ ] with a confidence level of 1 โˆ’ ๐›ผ can be obtained. In this sense, t L,1โˆ’๐›ผ is regarded as the time interval between failures, which can be used as the basis for establishing the successive failure process and predicting the time of taking pre-control action before further outages are triggered.…”

“…This implies a need for an appropriate probability model of successive failures with prediction of the future extreme weather. Poisson process describes the occurrence of a random event with relevance to time, playing an important role in the theory and application of stochastic process [11]. In this sense, the generalized Poisson model, which we assume the number of transmission line failure occurrences in the extreme weather obeys, is applied.…”

“…On the one hand, the composition of machine tool is very complicated, and it is difficult to realize the reliability deterioration law of machine tool by using direct theory. On the other hand, machine tools are typical of high reliability and long life products, the MTBF (mean time between failures) is higher, so the reliability of the machine tool is lack of effective means by the general environmental stress test [1]. The popular method is to put the life of components as a random variable, and then select an appropriate mathematical model, calculate the distribution function and probability density function, both the reliability and life function of the equipment are finally obtained.…”
