Reliability-oriented extended importance measures in uncertain inventory systems for mechanical products

Abstract: This article mainly analyzes the applications of importance measures in inventory systems' reliability. Previous importance measures are mostly developed based on Birnbaum importance; however, they are not applicable to the identification of weakness and optimization in inventory systems by considering the customer requirements for mechanical products. Based on the three-echelon inventory system structure, the corresponding reliability is analyzed under the Poisson distribution. Then three importance measures,… Show more

“…Dui et al 14 proposed a new method for resilience management of multi-node systems after multi-node failure caused by natural disasters or man-made accidents based on importance measures and applied it to analyze the recovery sequence of in wind power generation system (WPGS) with multi-node failure. Dui et al 15 popularized and applied composite importance, mean absolute deviation, and differential importance measures to the three-echelon inventory system, and identified the key parameters of the inventory system, to achieve the minimal cost and optimal inventory system. With the development of importance measure analysis, importance measure analysis is gradually applied to the reliability research of complex systems such as manufacturing system.…”

“…A suitable recovery action guarantees the operation of system and reduces the loss caused by system failures. [1][2][3] In fact, the modes of different recovery actions usually have unique characteristics. [4][5][6][7] Cui et al 8 classified roughly the existing recovery modes into two categories: maintenance action and self-healing effect.…”
