Abstract:Religion has an important role in lawmaking, especially Islam in a country like Indonesia. Data used in this research consists of secondary data, which comprises published literature that fits the context of the research discussed. The researchers found that the role of religion in lawmaking was not independent of the historical, social, and cultural influences of the society concerned.
