Even if creating jobs and fostering economic growth are two of the tourist industry's most important roles, preserving its sustainability is a big issue on a global scale. Our research aims to provide a bibliometric analysis of the relevant literature used in the VOSviewer software's examination of the sustainability of the industry. The goal is to evaluate the current status of research on environmental aspects of sustainable tourism development and to pinpoint the key areas, journals, articles, and authors from 1996 to 2021. A total of 337 relevant papers on subjects like the utilization of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, energy indicators, and sustainability in the tourism industry were analysed in the Scopus database, based on their authors, publication year, geographic location, and number of citations. This study provides helpful information to promote theoretical and practical research in this area by adopting a systematic and visual review of all studies pertinent to the development of sustainable tourism.

Agricultural cultural heritage is cultivated by nature and human farming civilization together, and the historical and cultural values it contains still affect the survival and development of human beings; so, it is important to protect agricultural cultural heritage and promote its sustainable development. This paper reviews, collates, and summarizes the research on agricultural cultural heritage and sustainable development of tourism by scholars and experts at home and abroad, and on the basis of relevant theories and with reference to previous research results, adopts hierarchical clustering algorithm to cluster and decompose the attractions preferred by tourists, and then uses the improved density method to search for nearby attractions that meet the requirements in different regions with different search radii, so as to provide tourists with optimal tourism planning and thus provide the optimal tourism planning for tourists. The evaluation index system of sustainable development potential of agricultural cultural heritage tourism is established from four aspects: sustainability of heritage resources, sustainability of tourism environment, sustainability of tourism economy, and sociocultural sustainability. The evaluation index system and evaluation criteria of sustainable development potential of agricultural cultural heritage tourism established in this paper have certain reference value and universality for most agricultural cultural heritage.

“…There is also a coincidence with the work of Estevão et al (2017) with the search words "tourism management" and "management of tourism" reported 402 articles with an increase in the number of publications from 2008 and the exponential trend was kept until 2016. For the search words "Sustainable Tourism" and "Tourism planning", the evolution of publications from 1997 to 2017 presented two profiles, the first of them with fewer than 150 articles published until 2007 and an exponential increase from 2008 to 2017 with an exponential trend (Mota et al, 2018). In summary, starting in 2008, there was a growth in the number of articles published on topics of tourism, tourism competitiveness, destination competitiveness, tourism destination competitiveness, tourism management, sustainable tourism and tourism planning.…”

In recent years, an increasing number of studies with a focus on competitiveness and economic sectors have been developed. One of them is tourism competitiveness, also known as tourism destination competitiveness and destination competitiveness. Despite the increasing interest and number of studies in this regard, little can be found about tourism competitiveness using bibliometric methods and techniques. The aim of this paper is to use bibliometric tools to examine the evolution of scientific production on the subject of tourism competitiveness. The information in this paper comes from the Web of Science scientific database. The findings demonstrate how far the research has progressed and how influential it has been in the scientific community. In the years 1991 to 2018, a total of 1,325 papers were recovered. Years, citations, writers, universities, countries, journals, and research areas are conveniently organized and presented form the systematically gathered area.
