“…The RemiPCA SAFE Network was established in 2009 in order to collect outcome data on the use of this method in Switzerland with the aim of continuous quality improvement. Since then it has expanded and is now open internationally to hospitals of all sizes that offer remifentanil PCA in their labour ward . Quality assurance instruments have been developed by the network; participating hospitals adapt these locally to teach and supervise staff, analyse outcomes and adapt their standard operating procedures based on the recommendations of the network.…”
