Health is one of the basic needs of human life. If this need cannot be fulfilled, then nothing can compensate for the loss. Often in Bangladesh, we observe that the economic ability of mass people can hardly ensure proper health care. The poor are being deprived of proper health care and even though the rich class can afford quality health care, but it comes with many compromises with their valuable time and labor. To meet the gap, we thought of a smartphone-based health care system that will assist people, especially the underprivileged, to attain health care easily and effectively. To effectively use the ICT facility that the government and non-government sectors are providing, we made a mobile application that will have several features including online appointment and cabin booking, prescription generator, hospital, and doctor's information displayed along with the suggestion, medicinal and disease information, etc. Since there is a great need for a system that can alarm people of emerging diseases in their area, we made a system to alarm people about that. Moreover, in the world of continuous changes, there is a great need for communication to acquire the latest knowledge. Hence a social network where doctors can discuss cures and medication will be of great benefit. Along with this, the need for continuous observation of medicinal side effects is not negligible. So, we need a proper channel for communication between patient and doctor, especially when a patient encounters some trouble when he takes the pre-scribed medications because of their side effects.

Quick advancement in wireless communication devices and systems like mobile phone technology has had a significant impact on the health care industry. One such important application is to monitor patient's health status at anytime and anywhere [I]. In this paper we propose an emergency medical service system which can be used for DHA (Disaster hit areas).The proposed system can measure the vital parameters of the patient without the requirement of an elaborate patient monitoring system which consumes a lot of power, time and space, also need experts to setup the system. The system is designed such that it is easily portable, power efficient and user friendly mode of operation for the ease of usage in a disaster hit area. Also for the communication with far away expert doctors the system needs wireless network connection (WNC) namely GSM (Global System for Mobile Communication). One of the paramount considerations in the design is to make the device compact and portable as well as to minimize power consumption.

System Architecture for Low-Power Ubiquitously Connected Remote Health Monitoring Applications With Smart Transmission Mechanism

We present a novel smart transmission technique with seamless handoff mechanism to achieve ubiquitous connectivity using multiple on-chip radios targeting remote health monitoring applications. For the first time to the best of our knowledge, a system architecture for low-power ubiquitously connected multiparametric remote health monitoring system is proposed in this paper. The architecture proposed uses a generic adaptive rule engine for classifying the collected multiparametric data from patient and smartly transmit the data when only needed. The on-chip seamless handoff mechanism proposed aids for the ubiquitous connectivity with a very good energy savings by intelligent controlling of the multiple on-chip radios. The performance analysis of the proposed on-chip seamless handoff mechanism along with adaptive rule engine-based smart transmission mechanism achieves on an average of 50.39% of energy saving and 51.01% reduction in duty cycle of transmitter taken over 20 users compared with the continuous transmission. From the hardware complexity analysis made on the proposed seamless handoff controller and adaptive rule engine concludes that they require only 2082 CMOS transistors for real-time implementation.Index Terms-Ubiquitous connectivity, seamless hand-off, RSSI, path loss model, random waypoint mobility (RWP).
